Taher Mohamed

Al Ahly have announced the signing of Egypt youth international Taher Mohamed from Arab Contractors on a five-year deal after a lengthy transfer saga.

The promising youngster had missed a lot of football in the last year due to an injury that he picked up before the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations which Egypt went on to win in his absence.

When he was playing more regularly before his injury, Taher Mohamed showed a lot of potential by scoring three and assisting six in 17 appearances, averaging a goal involvement every 163 minutes.

As negotiations went on for his transfer to Al Ahly, it was believed that Arab Contractors were demanding EGP 40 million for his services, with the exact figure yet to be revealed.

Al Ahly will recommence the 2019-20 Egyptian Premier League season on the 7th of August, with their exact schedule yet to be confirmed.
