Marcel Koller: We will not underestimate Esperance in the second leg

Al Ahly’s manager Marcel Koller has stressed on the fact that the Red Devils’ place in the CAF Champions League final is yet to be decided after the victory against Esperance de Tunis in the first leg.

Al Ahly put one foot and a half in their fourth successive CAF Champions League final after beating Esperance de Tunis 3-0 in the first leg at Rades Stadium.

The Swiss manager expressed his delight with the result and the performance, however, he affirmed that Al Ahly will not be underestimating their Tunisian opponent in the second leg.

“We are so happy to win 3-0 away from home. However, that doesn’t mean we have already qualified to the final,” Koller said in the post-match press conference.

“Nothing is decided yet. We saw when Liverpool made a come back against Barcelona by scoring four goals. Also, Juventus managed to net three times away from home against Real Madrid,”

“We should not imagine that things have been decided. We should not underestimate Esperance de Tunis in the second leg and be fully concentrated because everything is possible in football,”

The second leg will take place on Friday, 19th of May at Cairo Stadium.
