Saudi club negotiating to sign Smouha’s Hossam Hassan – Report

Hossam Hassan
A Saudi Professional League club has entered negotiations to sign Smouha striker Hossam Hassan in January, according to reports.

Ohod Al Madinah have expressed their interest in signing the Egyptian striker next window after finding themselves netting the lowest number of goals in the league this season, seven, which lead them to being placed 15th in the table, just above relegation-bound Ittihad Jeddah according to Arriadiyah.

Hassan, 25, has enjoyed fine form this season, scoring five goals in 10 league appearances with a tally of seven goals in 11 outings in all competitions this season. The player was called up to Pharaohs camp on numerous occasions under former manager Hector Cuper but did not feature competitively for the national team.

Ohod were promoted to the Saudi Pro League last season and finished bottom of the league. They managed to keep their seat in Saudi’s top league this season after winning their relegation tie against second division club Al Ta’ee.

Ohod recently acquired Brazilian forward Ribamar from fellow Egyptian league club Pyramids. He currently leads their goalscoring charts with three goals in nine games.
