Zamalek assistant coach, Ayman Abdelaziz, talks about the obstacles his team faced on their way to be crowned champions of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The White Knights were crowned Champions of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating RS Berkane 5-3 in penalties in a match that ended 1-1 on aggregate.
After the match, Abdelaziz expressed his happiness stating, “I would like to thank all the fans that backed up the team since the beginning and never lost confidence in us.”
He added, “I would like to also thank the players for their tremendous efforts to be able to compete in both the Confederation Cup and the Egyptian League.”
“Zamalek were crowned champions overcoming all the obstacles that we faced in the beginning. This is our first African title in years and will motivate us to work hard to be crowned league champions.”
