Orlando Pirates star Saleng linked with move to Egypt

Orlando Pirates star Monnapule Saleng is said to have attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Egyptian outfit Future FC.

Monnapule Saleng played an important role in helping the Sea Robbers qualify for the CAF Champions League, and win the MTN8 and Nedbank cups last season.

Now, the 25-year-old South African international finds himself at the center of transfer speculations, with several clubs from different corners of the world competing for his signature.

One of the many names that are linked with Saleng is Future FC, which was recently bought by Egyptian businessman Walid Debes and is set to have a name change to ‘Modern Future’.

The news was revealed by by South African publication Soccer Laduma, which also stated that Future is yet to contact Orlando Pirates over the winger.

Future have been injected with a healthy amount of money this summer, having sold their trio Mohamed Reda Bobo, Mahmoud Marei, and Mohanad Lasheen to Pyramids for a fee of €3 million.

However, Future will be in competition with the United Arab Emirates’s biggest and oldest club, Al Nasr, who has also shown an interest in the Bafana Bafana international.

Moreover, Danish top-flight club Odense BK are reportedly chasing the attacker to replace American winger Emmanuel Sabbi who recently joined French Ligue 1 outfit Le Havre.
