CAF Disciplinary Board takes decisions against referees involved in scandal

The CAF Disciplinary Board took decisions against referees involved in scandals, some of whom were in charge of prominent African matches.

Perhaps the biggest name on the list is that Marwa Range, who officiated the 2017 African Champions League Final between Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca. The full list of suspended officials is as follows:

Marwa Range (Kenya): life ban
Boukari Quedraogo (Burkina Faso): 5 year ban
Denis Dembele (Ivory Coast): 6 year ban
Marius Tan (Ivory Coast): 2 year ban
Bi Valere Gouho (Ivory Coast): 2 year ban
Coulibay Abou (Ivory Coast): 2 year ban
Jallow Ebrima (Gambia): 10 year ban
Moriba Diakite (Mali): 5 year ban
Demba Boubou (Mauritania): 5 year ban
Maman Raja Abba Malan Ousseini (Niger): 5 year ban
Yanissou Bebou (Togo): 10 year ban

The following referees are still pending decision from the Disciplinary Board, expected to be taken on August 5th, 2018: Lathbridge Reginald (Ghana), Bello Aboudou (Ghana), Nantierre Eric (Ghana), Fleischer Cecil (Ghana), Anafo Nathan (Ghana), Ouedraogo Dawood (Ghana), Salifu Malik (Ghana), Akongyam Theresa (Ghana), Badiu Brahim (Ghana), Yekeh Jerry (Liberia), David Laryea (Ghana)
