The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports released several comments on Mohamed Salah’s injury and his status for the upcoming World Cup.
Khaled Abd Elaziz made a Facebook post where he outlined and answered many of the concerns surrounding Mohamed Salah after the star’s injury against Real Madrid in the Champion’s League final.
Most critcally, Abd Elaziz states that the expected duration of the injury is two weeks. He also reiterated that the injury is a concern of the ligaments in the shoulder joint.
The minister also revealed that it’s been agreed that Salah will stay with the Liverpool doctors for the time being “to receive appropriate treatment and rehabilitation”. He will then join the National Team camp in Italy and will be selected in the final squad due to be announced on the 4th of June.
Abd Elaziz concluded by providing good wishes to Salah and a speedy recovery.
