Al Ahly were able to cruise past El Entag El Harby with a comfortable 2-0 win in the ninth week of the Egyptian Premier League. Both goals came in the second half, the opener from Junior Ajayi and the second from Abdallah El-Said.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, seeing only a few chances,  most of which came from Al Ahly. The closest of the bunch came in the 43rd minute, courtesy of an Abdallah El-Said free kick that was saved by Entag El Harby’s goalkeeper Amer Mohamed Amer.

The second half was much more eventful, especially for the Red Devils. They were able to control more of the ball and play better possession football. This resulted in the first goal through the Nigerian poacher Junior Ajayi in the 47th minute, after he made good  use of Walid Soliman’s cross through his header.

The second goal came from Egypt’s latest hero Abdallah El-Said, who also scored the second goal against Ghana in World Cup Qualification last weekend. This time, El-Said was able to capitalize on a poor clearance from the Entag defence with a shot from the edge of the box in the 67th minute.

The Reds controlled the rest of the match and posed a threat multiple times to Amer Mohamed Amer, but the game ended with the two goals being the difference.

This result puts Al Ahly top of the league, with 23 points after week nine of the Egyptian Premier League.
