French-Egyptian starlet Haissem Hassan has officially completed his move from Ligue 2 side LB Chateroux to Villarreal.
Hassan plied his trade in Ligue 2 with LB Chateroux after making his debut with the first team last season.
The 18-year-old made 13 appearances for Charteroux last season and provided one assist, helping his side sit 15th in the Ligue 2 table with 34 points.
His performances have attracted interest from several European sides, including Fiorentina, Brentford, and Lille.
However, it was Villarreal who won the race to sign the winger after paying a reported fee of €2m.
He now joins the Spanish outfit on a four-year contract that runs until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Hassan has represented France’s U-17 and U-18 sides and even made their 2019 U-17 World Cup squad.
