Marmoush strikes again in Frankfurt’s win over Mönchengladbach

Omar Marmoush is not showing any signs of slowing down after scoring again in Frankfurt’s 2-0 victory in their fourth-round Bundesliga clash.

Hugo Larsson and Omar Marmoush scored the two goals for Frankfurt.

Egyptian international Omar Marmoush started the match and played until the 85th minute when he was substituted for Niels Nkounkou.

The in-form forward has now scored in three consecutive matches, finding the net against Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg, and now Mönchengladbach.

This latest goal brings Marmoush’s overall contributions for Frankfurt this season to four goals and three assists in five games only.

Larsson opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a strike inside the box, assisted by Ansgar Knauff.

Omar Marmoush doubled the lead in the 80th minute after being put through on goal by Jean-Matteo Bahoya, before toying with Japan’s international Ko Itakura and then putting the ball past the keeper.

With this win, Frankfurt climbed to nine points, placing them third in the Bundesliga table, while Mönchengladbach remains with three points in 14th place.
