Saudi giants interested in West Ham star

Saudi Pro League giants Al Nassr and Ittihad Jeddah are reportedly interested in West Ham United star forward Mohammed Kudus.

According to TEAMtalk, Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad are offering a salary package that would be difficult for most players to refuse. The Ghanaian winger is offered a contract worth a staggering £212,000 per week.

West Ham signed Kudus from Ajax for £38 million just last year and the player had a great season with the Hammers, scoring eight goals and assisting six in 33 games. He also added six goals in 14 games in the UEFA Europa League.

Although the hammers will be keen to keep their prized possession, they might not be able to compete with the astronomical wages on offer. This does not mean that West Ham will give in easy. They are known to be tough negotiators as they forced Arsenal to pay £105 million for Declan Rice.

The Hammers will demand a significant transfer fee if they are forced to sell Kudus after the player’s hefty £85 million release clause recently expired. The expiry of the clause gives West Ham complete control, thus strengthening their hand significantly in any negotiations.

Ittihad Jeddah and Al Nassr are both looking to strengthen their squads in order to be able to compete with Al Hilal who swept the domestic titles last season.
