Al Ahly eye $3m move for Tunisian midfielder Ben Romdhane

Al Ahly eye $3m move for Tunisian midfielder Ben Romdhane

Tunisian reports have linked Tunisian international midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane with a move to African champions Al Ahly in the upcoming summer.

Ben Romdhane is currently plying his trade at Hungarian side Ferencvárosi, having joined them last summer on a free transfer from Tunisian giants Esperance in a free transfer deal.

During his time in Hungary, Ben Romdhane has made 25 appearances, scoring a single goal and providing six assists.

Tunisian outlet Kora 24 revealed that Al Ahly has set their sights on the player and even obtained his agreement to join the Reds in the upcoming summer, according to sources close to the player.

The report also added that the deal will cost Al Ahly around $3 million without mentioning the contract details between both parties.

This comes amid Ben Romdhane’s recent absence from participation with the Hungarian team. The Tunisian has been unable to secure a regular place in his team’s lineup due to injury problems.

Ben Romdhane was part of the Carthage Eagles team in the 2023 AFCON but bid farewell early after the Tunisian national team failed to secure a victory in its three group-stage matches.
