Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron has included goalkeeper Mahmoud Genesh, Kabongo Kasongo and youngster Ahmed Eid in their African squad.

Genesh hasn’t made any appearance for the Whites since rupturing his achilles tendon back in July. He has since recovered from his injury and has now returned to the squad for the remainder of their CAF Champions League campaign.

Additionally, DR Congo international Kabongo Kasongo, who returned to the team, is also set to join the squad along with young full back Ahmed who was recently promoted to the first team.

Zamalek secured qualification for the quarter-finals as they sit second in Group A of the CAF Champions League.

The White Knights had played out a goalless draw against TP Mazembe on Friday to raise their tally to eight points after five games played, three points behind leaders Mazembe.

The five-time African champions have one game remaining in their group, set to take place next Saturday against Primeiro de Agosto.
