Mohamed Chibi turns to Moroccan consulate for legal action against El-Shahat

Pyramids FC’s player Mohamed Chibi has decided to turn to the Moroccan embassy in Egypt for legal action against Hussein El-Shahat.

The Red Devils suffered their first loss of the season against Pyramids FC with a scoreline of 3-0 at the 30 June stadium on Sunday.

Despite Al Ahly already winning the title and the game being considered a dead rubber, tensions arose during the game between players and coaching staff.

Pyramids FC’s Moroccan player Mohamed Chibi was the center of attention after entering more than one altercation with Al Ahly players.

Following the end of the game, Hussein El-Shahat was seen slapping Chibi as the Al Ahly player claim that the Moroccan insulted him and his family.

As a result, Al Ahly released an official statement announcing that El-Shahat has been fined 500,000 EGP, considering the player’s acknowledgment of the mistake and his apology for what happened.

Moreover, El-Shahat was also fined 220,000 EGP by the EFA as well as getting suspended for two games.

Despite this, Hussein El-Shahat went to the dressing room to apologize to Mohamed Chibi after the game, in the presence of Pyramids FC‘s sporting director Hany Said.

However, it seems that the Moroccan player wasn’t satisfied with all of these and decided to take further legal action against Hussein El-Shahat.

El-Shiby spoke to “ElBotola” as he said; “Before the slap, Hussein El-Shahat threatened me to break my foot and insulted my religion and my parents.

“After being informed of the punishment imposed on El-Shahat, I returned from Saudi Arabia, as I had gone to perform Umrah.

“I decided to return to Egypt and pursue another legal action with the Moroccan embassy in Egypt. I also received a call from Pyramids officials asking me to return to Egypt, for some legal procedures.”
