EFA suspend El-Shahat, Al Ahly impose hefty fine after Pyramids game incident

Al Ahly announced that the club’s winger Hussein El-Shahat received a hefty fine following his violent behavior towards Pyramids’ player Mohamed Chibi.

The Red Devils suffered their first loss of the season against Pyramids with a 3-0 in the 30 June Stadium on Sunday.

After the end of the game, Hussein El-Shahat was seen slapping Pyramids’ player, Mohamed Chibi following a verbal altercation between them.

Despite the 31-year-old going to the dressing room apologize to the player after the game, that didn’t stop Al Ahly from imposing a hefty fine on the winger.

And Al Ahly released an official statement announcing that El-Shahat has been fined according to the club’s regulations.

EFA followed with a two-game ban, and decided to fine Hussein El-Shahat 220,000 L.E, for his violent behavior towards Pyramids’ player Mohamed Chibi and slapping him.

Meanwhile, Pyramids FC has decided to appeal the punishment issued by the Clubs Association, objecting to its leniency in comparison to the terrible act committed against their player.
