Pyramids FC closing in on Mohamed Chibi transfer – Report

Mohamed Chibi

Pyramids FC are reportedly finalising a deal for Morocco and FAR Rabat right-back Mohamed Chibi ahead of the new season.

The Cairo-based side have had a relatively successful Egyptian Premier League campaign, having managed to finish in second place for the first time in history.

As a result, they also condemned Al Ahly to finish outside the top two for the first time since the 1991/92 season.

The club started their summer business by extending the contract of head coach Takis Gonias to 2025 as they look to build on last season.

It now seems that Pyramids have turned their attention to the right-back position and have identified Morocco’s Mohamed Chibi as their second transfer target.

According to a report by HeSPORT, Pyramids are close to landing the 29-year-old as his time at FAS Rabat came to an end.

Despite his contract running until 2024, FAS Rabat announced Chibi’s departure recently and thanked the player for his contributions in an official statement.
