Mido: Mohamed Salah signed contracts ahead of Saudi Arabia move

Egypt icon and pundit Ahmed Hossam Mido has revealed that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will move to Saudi Arabia next summer after signing the contract.

Salah’s contract at Anfield runs until the summer of 2025 and with Jurgen Klopp set to leave his role at the end of the season, speculation is mounting that the Egyptian will move out too.

The Egypt skipper was heavily linked with a move to Ittihad Jeddah in the summer but a deal never materialised in the end, with Liverpool rejecting a reported £100 million bid.

According to the Athletic, Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah have not lost hope in signing Mohamed Salah and are willing to make a record-breaking offer to acquire his services.

The Saudis are reportedly planning to offer Liverpool €235 million for Salah, which would make him the most expensive player in history, surpassing Neymar’s move to PSG in 2017, which cost the Parisians €222 million.

Former Premier League striker Ahmed Hossam Mido confirmed the news and revealed that it’s just a matter of time before the move is completed after the player put pen to paper.

Ahmed Hossam Mido wrote on his personal “X” account: “Mohamed Salah in the Saudi league next season, contracts have been signed.”

Mido did not specify the Saudi club Salah will move to, but reports suggest he will join either Ittihad Jeddah or Al Hilal.

Salah has made 28 appearances for Liverpool across various competitions this season, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists, helping the Reds win the League Cup.
