The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have announced the appointment of Mohamed Youssef as assistant technical director.
The EFA initially appointed Mohamed Youssef as a general coach for the Egyptian national team in the new coaching staff but later reversed the decision with the arrival of Hossam Hassan as the head coach.
They also confirmed that Mohamed Youssef would not depart from the association and would instead assume a new position, a decision announced on Wednesday.
The association held a meeting led by president Gamal Allam at the headquarters to discuss some important decisions.
Among these decisions was the appointment of Mohamed Youssef as the assistant technical director of the association, compensating for his departure from our national team’s coaching staff.
The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the 2023 AFCON tournament after the defeat they suffered against DR Congo on penalties in the round of 16.
