The 2022-23 Egypt Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek is set to take place in Saudi Arabia at the Al -Awwal Stadium in Riyadh.
Al Ahly made their way to the final by defeating ENPPI 3-0 in October last year, thanks to goals from Ali Maaloul, Anthony Modeste, and Emam Ashour.
Meanwhile, Zamalek played a thrilling 3-3 draw with Pyramids in the semi-finals back in November before the game headed to a penalty shootout where the White Knights prevailed.
Three months later, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) released a statement confirming the final will be held in Saudi Arabia as part of the Riyadh Season.
“The EFA and the Saudi Football Federation reached an agreement to hold the final of the 2022/23 Egypt Cup in Saudi Arabia on March 8th,” the statement read.
