Former Zed Academy player Ahmed El-Ganainy has joined Portuguese club Leixões SC after he impressed the club’s management.
Ahmed El-Ganainy excelled during his time in the youth sector at Zed FC, attracting the attention of European clubs to recruit the player at a young age.
The young Egyptian decided to wear the number 72 shirt with his new team in memory of the martyrs of Al Ahly in the Port Said Stadium Massacre.
Upon his official participation, El-Ganainy will become the fifteenth Egyptian player to appear in the Portuguese league.
Leixões SC compete in the Portuguese second division, currently occupying 16th place with 22 points after 22 rounds of Liga Portugal 2.
