OFFICIAL: Pyramids name Krunoslav Jurcic as new head coach

Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids have officially announced Krunoslav Jurcic as their new head coach on Wednesday.

Pyramids recently dismissed Jaime Pacheco after they crashed out of the Egyptian League Cup following a 3-1 defeat to Al Masry.

Just hours later, news broke that the Cairo-based side reached an agreement with Croatian manager Krunoslav Jurcic to replace Pacheco.

The reports have now been confirmed by the club who revealed that Jucic will be on the touchline for their first game back in the Egyptian Premier League against ZED FC.

“Jurčić arrived in Cairo yesterday to finalize his contract with the management of Pyramids FC, including club CEO Mamdouh Eid and director of transfers Amr Bassiouny,” the club said in a statement.

“He will lead his first training session with the team this afternoon at the Air Defense Stadium in preparation for his first official match.”

The 54-year-old lists Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb, Slovenia’s NK Maribor, Turkish club Adanaspor, and Saudi giants Al-Nassr as former employers.
