Al Ahly’s medical staff have revealed that Wessam Abou Ali has sustained a hamstring injury just days after joining the club.
The Red Devils had completed the signing of Palestinian forward Wessam Abou Ali from Swedish club IK Sirius on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
However, just days before Egyptian football resumes, the 25-year-old suffered an injury blow in training and will need time to recover.
“Wessam Abou Ali began his rehabilitation phase in the gym today after his hamstring injury,” Al Ahly said on their website.
The champions will travel to face CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League group stages on February 16th.
