VIDEO: Salah scores on return from injury

Mohamed Salah scored on his return from injury in FC Basel’s 6-1 Swiss Cup route over lower division side FC Amriswil.

The talented Egyptian, who has missed the last few games due to injury, started the game on the bench but came on in the 65th minute. Salah scored the 6th goal of the match with a neat volley from inside the box in the final minute of normal time to seal a convincing victory for FC Basel and confirm the passage of the holders to the the next round.

Captain Alexander Frei scored a goal in each half and Cameroonian international Jacques Zoua also scored a first-half brace, while Fabian Frei completed the thumping win.

FC Basel now prepare for their Europa League tough opening fixture against Sporting Lisbon next Thursday. Mohamed Salah is expected to start for Heiko Vogel’s side in Portugal.
