Nigeria’s Troost-Ekong linked with Saudi Arabia move – Report

Nigeria skipper William Troost-Ekong is reportedly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window.

The centre-back plies his trade for Greek giants PAOK and put on impressive performances for his country in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

His contributions helped Nigeria advance to the final of the competition where they suffered a late 2-1 defeat to hosts Ivory Coast.

With four goals, the 30-year-old was voted AFCON’s best player of the tournament as he played every minute for Nigeria.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there is a growing interest from the Saudi Pro League to land Troost-Ekong in the summer.

His current deal at PAOK runs until June of 2026 and the Greek Super League leaders could listen to offers for the defender.

Troost-Ekong has represented multiple European sides throughout his career including Watford, Salernitana, Udinese, and Bursaspor.
