OFFICIAL: Al Ahly's Ahmed Kendouci joins Cleopatra FC on season-long loan

Ceramica Cleopatra FC have completed the signing of Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kendouci from Al Ahly on a season-long loan, the Reds announced on Sunday.

Kendouci had joined Al Ahly only last January from Algerian giants ES Sétif for a fee of €920k after beating off competition from arch-rivals Zamalek.

The 24-year-old went on to make 21 appearances in which he scored two goals and assisted three, helping Al Ahly win the CAF Champions League, the Egyptian Premier League, the Egypt Cup, and the Egypt Super Cup.

Despite impressing Marcel Koller, Al Ahly were keen to offload the Algerian to register a new foreign striker, who they are expecting to sign in a few days.

Kendouci will now spend next season on loan at Cleopatra FC to become their seventh summer signing following ex-Al Ahly defender Saad Samir.

Cleopatra FC finished last season in 13th place just four points away from the drop, but managed to win their first-ever silverware when they beat Al Masry in the League Cup final.
