Al Ahly are reportedly close to securing a deal for ES Setif midfielder Ahmed Kendouci in the summer transfer window.

Ahmed Kendouci has had an outstanding season with ES Setif in the CAF Champions League, reaching the semi-finals of the competition.

The 22-year-old’s performances inspired ES Setif to become the surprise package in Africa, defeating Tunisia giants Esperance in the quarter-finals.

With an impressive tally of seven goals and six assists in 40 games across all competitions, Kendouci’s time at ES Setif could be coming to an end.

Kendouci had previously scored against Al Ahly in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals, where the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Al Ahly will hope to bolster their squad in the summer after a disappointing season in the Egyptian Premier League so far.

The Red Devils currently trail league leaders and arch-rivals Zamalek by seven points with four games in hand and lie in third place with 37 points.
