Raja Casablanca announce new COVID-19 test results

Raja

Moroccan side, Raja Casablanca, published the results of their daily coronavirus tests, which saw three of their players testing negative.

Raja Casablanca were set to visit Zamalek in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals last week. However, the game was postponed after 16 of their players tested positive for coronavirus.

Now the club announced that three of these players tested negative, bringing the total of recovered players to eight. Meaning that they have 21 players available and eight more to go.

Nonetheless, if all their players recover in the next week it would not affect the course of the competition as the Confederation of African Football already took the decision to postpone the game.

This decision was made at the request of the Egyptian authorities, who also demanded the postponement of the final.

Some reports emerged earlier today suggesting that the game will be played on November 27th, interfering with the start date of the 2020/2021 season.

The first leg of the preliminary rounds is supposed to take place on November 20th, with the second leg set to be played on the same week as the reported date for the final.
