Young Africans president makes bold Al Ahly prediction ahead of CAF CL encounter

Young Africans president Hersi Said hailed Al Ahly before their meeting in the CAF Champions League and made a bold prediction.

Both sides already secured qualification for the knockout stages but still compete for the top spot in Group in the final game of the group stages.

Al Ahly currently lead the group with 10 points, just one ahead of Young Africans but Hersi Said believes his club aim to get all three points in Cairo.

“Friday’s game will be good because the two teams have already qualified for the quarter-finals, and we want to prove our worth away from home,” Said told Al Ahly TV channel.

“They played well against us in the reverse fixture, and now both teams will be without any pressure because we have clinched qualification.

“We don’t want to lose our final group game, and we will fight to get the victory and put on a good performance away from home.”

Said also pointed out that Al Ahly are favourites to win the competition for another year and could meet a familiar rival.

“Al Ahly are the biggest team in Africa and I admire many of their players. I nominate them and Mamelodi Sundowns to reach the Champions League final,” he added.
