Medeama president vows to defeat Al Ahly

Moses Parker

Moses Parker, President of Medeama SC, has affirmed the club’s determination to secure victory against Al Ahly in the upcoming CAF Champions League encounter.

Scheduled for Friday, February 23, the clash between the Ghana Premier League champions and the African giants holds significant importance for Medeama SC.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Moses Parker expressed his unwavering confidence in Medeama’s ability to emerge victorious, drawing parallels to their previous triumph over TP Mazembe in 2015.

Parker emphasized the team’s preparedness to leave no stone unturned in their quest for three points, highlighting the support of Ghanaian fans as crucial to their success.

“Medeama is going all out, this game means a lot to us, we did it in 2015 against TP Mazembe at Essipong, so repeating it won’t be difficult. This Friday, we will shock Ghanaians by defeating Al Ahly and secure qualification in Algeria,” Parker said.

Additionally, Moses Parker revealed that he has assembled a substantial reward package for the players to motivate them to strive for victory against the Egyptian club.

Parker stated: “I won’t predict a win, but we will seek it through all positive means; all we need is the support of all Ghanaians.

“I have a very big package for the players if they win on Friday, I can’t disclose the bonus, but it’s bigger than what the FA proposed to the Black Stars, and I know they (the players) need more, and this boosts my confidence in winning against Al Ahly.”

The highly anticipated CAF Champions League encounter between Medeama SC and Al Ahly is scheduled to commence at 6 pm on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
