OFFICIAL: Al Ain hire Hernan Crespo as head coach

Al Ain, the most successful club in the United Arab Emirates, has announced the reaching of an agreement with with Argentine coach Hernan Crespo to manage the first team.

The Emirati giants announced earlier that the club and the coach have reached a preliminary agreement, with the ex-Argentine international set to arrive in the UAE in the coming days to finalize his contract:

According to multiple Argentinian reports, Crespo had an offer from Argentina’s Racing Club, but refused the offer in favour of Al Ain, who terminated their contract with Dutch head coach Alfred Schroeder by mutual consent.

Nicknamed as ‘Al Zaeem’, the UAE giants won all their four matches in the AFC Asian Champions League group stage, while also securing top spot in their respective group. They also currently sit in third place in the ADNOC Pro League with 15 points from 7 games.
