Marcel Koller: Al Ahly need to be more efficient in front of goal

Al Ahly boss Marcel Koller has called on his side to convert their chances against Urawa Red Diamonds in the Club World Cup.

The Red Devils were condemned to the competition’s third-place playoffs following their 2-0 defeat to Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense.

Meanwhile, Manchester City overcame Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 to set up the latter’s meeting with Al Ahly on Friday.

Ahead of the game, Marcel Koller talked about Al Ahly’s form and how he plans to get his side scoring more goals.

“I think both teams have done well in the tournament and we were the better side against Fluminense,” Koller said in the press conference.

“If we want to win, our players need to be more focused and efficient in front of goal but it’s not easy to achieve that conversion rate because it needs time and practice.

“We want to win another bronze medal just like Urawa do as well,” he added.
