Former Tottenham and Zamalek centre-forward Ahmed Hossam Mido believes Al Ahly will come out on top against Ittihad Jeddah.
Al Ahly are set to meet Ittihad on Friday following the latter’s thumping 3-0 victory over Auckland City in their opening game of the Club World Cup.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Mido talked about Al Ahly’s season so far and predicted that the Red Devils will advance to the next round.
“I think Al Ahly will make it through,” Mido told ON Time Sports. “The criticism that Marcel Koller is getting is unfair.
“Their participation in the African Football League at the start of the season hurt the team and forced the manager to constantly rotate players.”
