Paris Saint-Germain shortlist Salah as Mbappe replacement – Report

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is reportedly among 10 players Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shortlisted to replace the departing Kylian Mbappe.

With his contract ending after this season, Mbappe is expected to leave the French capital on a free transfer to join Real Madrid this summer.

PSG have started looking for his replacement and have identified several targets, including Salah.

The Egyptian is yet to put pen to paper a new contract with Liverpool, with negotiations having reportedly stalled in the past few months.

Despite being the team’s biggest star, guiding them to several trophies, and breaking records left and right along the way, the Reds are reportedly refusing Salah’s financial demands.

The 25-year-old is reportedly asking for a sum of around £300,000 and £400,000 in weekly wages, which would force them to surpass their very strict salary cap.

Many clubs around Europe are therefore looking to take advantage of the tense relationship between both parties to snatch the two-time Golden Boot winner this summer.

One of these clubs is believed to be PSG according to Le10Sport. According to the French website, Salah is among 10 players PSG would be interested in signing to replace Mbappe.

However, he’s not the club’s priority, with their main targets being Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, whose on Manchester City’s radar, and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.

The reported list also includes Juventus’ Paulo Dybala, whose contract ends this season, as well as Ousmane Dembele, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford Ajax Amsterdam’s Antony, and Moise Kean.
