Nasser Al-Khelaifi praises CAF Champions League final

The president and chief executive officer of Paris Saint-Germain club Nasser Al-Khelaifi praised the CAF Champions League final between Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca.

Al Ahly clinched a record 11th CAF Champions League title after securing a late 1-1 draw with Wydad Casablanca at the Mohammed V Stadium this Sunday.

The Reds had won the first-leg 2-1 in Cairo which meant Al Ahly won the tie 3-2 on aggregate to end the Casablanca curse.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi attended with a private invitation the final match between Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca at Mohammed V Stadium in Morocco.

Al-Khelaifi Spoke to Bein Sports after the match as he said: “These African matches are great and almost reach the level of European matches.

“They need more support as Africa is one of the biggest continents in football.

“Football is greater than scoring goals, winning championships and awards, it is reaching humanity, helping societies to each other, as well as helping other continents,” he added.
