Four key Al Ahly players recover from COVID-19

Al Ahly’s sporting director, Sayed Abdelhafiz, has revealed that Mohamed Magdy ‘Afsha’, Mohamed Hany, Kahraba, and Akram Tawfik have all tested negative for COVID-19 in the latest tests.

The Red Devils had recently been dealt a blow prior to their last match against Wadi Degla with the positivity of the latter’s tests.

However, on Sunday evening, 48 hours before the Red Castle’s crucial match up with Nigerien outfit AS SONIDEP in the CAF Champions league, their tests turned negative.

Kahraba had previously announced on Instagram on Sunday that he has recovered from COVID-19, for a second time.

Abdelhafiz also revealed to Al Ahly’s official website that the four key players are set to return to full training on Monday.

The Red Devils are readying up for their encounter with Nigerien side AS SONIDEP on Tuesday night in Cairo, with a 1-0 lead on aggregate in the first leg.
