2020 CAF Super Cup set to be delayed – Report

The 2020 CAF Super Cup expected to be delayed for eight days, to be played on Friday, the 18th of December, according to reports.

CAF is expected to announce the postponement of the super cup encounter between Al Ahly and RS Berkane which was scheduled to take place on the 10th of December in Cairo.

This comes amid protests from Moroccan outfit and CAF Confederation Cup champions RS Berkane.

The Moroccan side announced that they refuse Al Ahly hosting the match in Cairo, alongside calling for the match to be hosted on a neutral ground.

The CAF Super Cup was originally set to take place in Qatar back in August but due to COVID-19, all competitions were moved, including this one.

CAF then announced that the venue would be moved to Cairo instead on December 10th, something RS Berkane protested against.

And now according to Moroccan news source Le360Sport, the game is set to be played on December 18 instead, but also in Cairo.
