And it looks like his strong form has attracted the attention of giants Galatasaray, who is willing to bring in the Egyptian, according to Sporx, as the Yellow-Reds are struggling in-depth for the left-back position.

The 25-year-old contract does not end before 2023, but both ends are hoping to make the move happen as Hafez has also expressed his interest in wearing the Galatasaray colors.

Furthermore, Galatasaray officials are set to meet the Malatyaspor administration to discuss a potential move over the summer.

In case the deal completes, Hafez would be playing alongside countryman and striker Mostafa Mohamed, who arrived from Zamalek last January.

Hafez is considered a journeyman, having played for the likes of Belgian club Lierse SK, Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus, France’s RC Lens, as well as Turkish outfits Istanbul Basaksehir, Kasimpasa, and Yeni Malatyaspor.

On the international level, Hafez has seven caps to his name and was part of the Pharaohs’ team that reached the final of the 2017 AFCON.
