Former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata has been tipped for the vacant South Africa manger job.
The 69-year-old who led Egypt to three consecutive African Cup of Nation between 2006 and 2010 has been tipped to manage the South Africa national side.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) are keen to find a manager before the end of February and are looking for a manager with previous experience in African competitions, with Shehata a perfect fit for this requirement.
The SAFA CEO Dennis Mumble says they have received a number of CVs from experienced managers like former Italy manager Giovanni Trapattoni and former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.
The Bafana Bafana have said that it is expected of the new manager to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
