Sayed Abdel-Hafiz: Al Ahly to resume training on Wednesday

Al Ahly’s director of football, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, has confirmed that they are set to return to training on Friday.

Egyptian football has been halted since 14 March due to the coronavirus outbreak with the total number of COVID-19 cases reaching more than 50,000 cases.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, had announced that the Egyptian Premier League would start July 25th with teams returning to training this month.

In addition, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have stated that all members across league clubs will undergo PCR tests to ensure that it’s safe to resume football.

And on Sunday, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz confirmed that Al Ahly will start training again on Wednesday.

Al Ahly lead the Egyptian Premier League table with 49 points after 17 games played this season.
