In this new series, Kingfut keeps a close eye on the young talents in the Egyptian field who have the full potentials to glow world widely. The series moves to attacking midfielder Omar Mira who’s now close to joining the Super League Greece side PAS Giannina.
KingFut presents to you one of the best youngsters in the Egyptian football, Omar Farouk Mira. the 18-year-old started his career at Maadi club for three seasons (2007-2009) and made the shifting jump to Arab Contactors, joining training sessions with the first team and featured with Contractors against Petrojet and Tanta. Another effortful push took him to the trials of Greek side PAS Giannina in January where he gained a fine impression from the club.
As Mira shifted positions in the midway of fronts and halves, he has played a crucial role among his teammates as they achieved three league victories among the years of 2010 to 2015 in the Egyptian Youth League. The Egyptian playmaker is already bagging individual trophies to his career, as he has won the best player in the Youth league for the season of 2012-2013
Mira revealed to Kingfut how his passion to football started, saying when he was around seven years old he attended Egypt’s matches in the African cup of nations 2006 in the stadium where he loved football, atmosphere there and also watching the World Cup matches of 2006 in Germany had a huge role in attracting him to the sport.
Omar Mira is the youngest player in this Arab Contractors first team and has developed a good relationship with his coach Mohamed Ouda, who he has described him as really supportive due to his motivational techniques, giving him the chance to appear with the first team several times.
The player has shown very promising signs for Arab Contractors last season as he scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists with his team. He’s also featured with both the U21 and U19 Egypt National team.

One of the main elements that aids any player’s motivation is choosing a role model and Mira’s is the “Egyptian King” Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool winger who has now bagged 31 goals in all competitions with the Reds used to play for Mira’s current club Arab Contractors. He also claims that the Egypt international is obviously changing the world’s view to the Egyptian players and football showing young Egyptian footballers that impossible is nothing, hard work pays off and he is for sure a perfect example for Egyptians abroad
Speaking of Arab players who achieved noticeable progress in the English Premier League this era, Mira has named Riyad Mahrez as the player he feels best match his style explaining that they are both left footed forwards who prefer to play on the right side
When asked about his three most memorable goals for Egypt, he firstly stated Gedo’s goal in the African Cup of National final against Ghana in 2010, Emad Meteab’s goal against Algeria in 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, and Salah’s World Cup Qualification winner against Congo.
Among all our expectations for the Egyptian national team in Group A against Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia in the World Cup in Russia, Mira had his say believing the national team could definitely make it to the knockout stage.
The Maadi based player has just started his international journey after going on a trial period with the Greek side PAS Giannia and has gained a well impression from the club who are willing to acquire the services of the young player next summer. As Mira is getting closer to play abroad, his expectations are rising as well and when asked about the club he’s targeting to play for one day he said he’d love to join Catalan Giants FC Barcelona who are his favorite club and he believes the Spanish side are playing the best football.
When asked about his trial experience with PAS Giannia he replied: “The experience is great; the team players and coaches are always motivating me to do my best. I’d be very happy to be part of the team.”
