Amr Marei has scored the second goal for Etoile du Sahel in a draw with Stade Gabesien in the Tunisian league, with Jaziri’s equaliser denying Marei of the winning goal.

While the clubs are currently close in the table, Sahel would be favourites by virtue of them being one of the historical powerhouses of the Tunisian league.

However, Gabesien got off to the better start as Orkuma broke the deadlock just 16 minutes in. They failed to hold onto the lead beyond half time, however, as Chikhaoui converted a penalty just before the interval to make it 1-1.

Amr Marei seemed to have scored the winner for Sahel midway through the second half with his 4h goal in the league this season. However, Sahel dropped two points in the last ten minutes thanks to ex Tanta player Jaziri.

The result means that ES Sahel are up to 4th in the league and within three points of the leaders CA Bizertin with a game in hand.

Their next game is away at CS Hammam-Lif on Wednesday 31st of October at 2:30PM Egyptian time.
