Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush has been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Week for Gameweek 3 after stealing the show against Wolfsburg.
Despite initially being a doubt due to injury, Marmoush pushed through to start the match and delivered an exceptional performance against his former team.
Marmoush netted twice in the 30th and 82nd minutes to help Eintracht Frankfurt come out 2-1 victorious at the Volkswagen Arena.
His performances didn’t go unnoticed and Marmoush was awarded the Man of the Match award and a spot in Kicker’s Bundesliga Team of the Week.
The team also witnessed the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Boniface, Jamal Musiala, and Joshua Kimmich.
This also marks the second time Marmoush makes Kicker’s Team of the Week, making the only other player alongside Harry Kane to achieve this feat so far this season.
Marmoush has had a stellar start to the season so far, totaling three goals and three assists in just four appearances.
Frankfurt will be gearing up for next week’s league clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 7:30 PM CET.
