Ajman’s Egyptian manager Ayman El Ramadi has been nominated for the Leader Award which is presented to the best head coach in the UAE Gulf League.

El Ramadi has been in charge of Ajman since July 2017, guiding the club to the eighth place in his debut season, nine points away from the relegation zone.

This season has been better for the Egyptian and his side as he managed to win eight and draw seven from 23 league games, which leaves his side in seventh place with three games to go.

He also guided Ajman to a historic 4-0 away victory over giants Al Ain as well beating Al Nasr 2-0 away from home.

His side’s performances saw him being nominated for the best coach award alongside the likes of Sharjah’s boss Abdulaziz Al Anbari and Shabab Al Ahli’s Rodolfo Arruabarrena.

Vuk Rasovic from Al Dhafra, and Bani Yas’ manager Krunoslav Jurcic completed the nomination list, with the Voting process starting on Sunday, May 5 and closing on the 10th of the month.

A three-man shortlist based on the voting will be announced on May 11 and the winners will be announced in the Arabian Gulf League Awards ceremony on May 17.

Ajman are now six points away from breaking the club’s points record in the top-flight, which was achieved eight years ago, however, they have only three games to do so against Al Wahda, Emirates, and Al Dahfra.
