Al Ahly’s Koller issues warning ahead of Esperance return leg

Marcel Koller

Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller has issued a warning to his side ahead of their clash against Esperance in the CAF Champions League final.

The Red Devils played out a goalless draw with Esperance in the first leg of the competition’s final in Tunisia last week.

Despite creating multiple chances on goal, the champions now have to settle the tie in Cairo in front of their home crowd to seal their 12th title.

Speaking ahead of the game on Saturday, Marcel Koller talked about Al Ahly’s preparations and also discussed the possibility of losing on away goals.

“We expect a different game because we will be playing at home this time,” Koller said in the press conference.

“Of course, Ali Maaloul’s injury was a huge blow for us but I am sure whoever will play in that position will do a great job for us.

“I know that if we concede a goal, then we must score twice to win. We are fully aware of that and we will try our best to keep a clean sheet.”
