John Antwi makes Ghana return after 11 years

Egyptian Premier League all-time foreign top goal scorer John Antwi has returned to his former club Dreams FC on a free transfer.

John Antwi’s journey had begun with Dreams FC before moving to Egypt to represent the likes of Ismaily, Al Ahly, Misr El-Makkasa, Pyramids, and Tala’a El-Gaish.

The 31-year-old has been a free agent after a three-month spell with Jordanian giants Al-Faisaly, which led him to make a return to his boyhood club.

Antwi returns to Ghana as the all-time leading foreign goal scorer in the Egyptian Premier League with 77 goals scored with Ismaily (28), Misr El-Makkasa (37), Pyramids FC (9), and Al Ahly (3).

“Dreams FC is delighted to announce and welcome ex-Black stars and Egyptian league record goal scorer to the Still Believe family,” the club wrote on their social media page.

The Ghanaian international is expected to play a key role for Dreams FC, which will participate in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup in the upcoming season.
