It’s been a great year on the hiking front.
Extended trips in southwest Tasmania, the Colombian Andes, New York’s Adirondacks and the Colorado Rockies. Throw in some shorter hikes in my beloved Mexico and my ‘ancestral’ home of Queensland, Australia. All in all an excellent twelve months!

Thanks for the kind words. The last photo of the dock is stunning. Having explored the ancestral Puebloan culture myself this year, I really appreciated the El Quemado photo. There was trade between the Puebloan and the ancestral Mexican cultures so not surprised to see some similarities at times!
Hi Cam – really enjoyed this post. I’ve been wondering, what happened to the hike just north and west of Lake Chapala at the three volcanoes area (I forget the name)? I met you about a year and a half ago along Camino Real, Ajijic, and thought the trip was all set. Maybe it’s still coming?
